  • 23 October 2015 First closure of George Street, between King and Market streets, for light rail major construction.
  • 3 December 2015 Closure of George Street between Market and Park streets for light rail construction.
  • February 2016 Start of Randwick branch light rail major construction.
  • May 2016 Start of Kingsford branch light rail major construction.
  • August 2016 Start of light rail major construction in Surry Hills.
  • October 2016 Completion of the first pedestrian zone in George Street, between King and Market streets.
  • Late 2016 Barangaroo Ferry Hub opens to customers
  • Late 2016 Wynyard Station and Museum Station upgrades complete
  • January 2017 Start of construction at Circular Quay
  • 2018 Light rail construction completed and testing begins.
  • 2019 Light rail opens to customers.
